Congratulations to Flying Drumsticks!

On Wednesday, 15th January, we had the pleasure of celebrating Stall Segerhuva’s Flying Drumsticks’ victory in the Fiona Sans race at Sundbyholm. On this day, the Eskilstuna track took over the races from Solvalla, where issues with the surface made it unsuitable for racing.

Flying Drumsticks, bred at Menhammar, made a strong start with Julien Fontaine behind the wheel, taking up a position behind the leader after about 250 metres. The team held their ground until a gap appeared 150 metres from the finish. The way the five-year-old mare accelerated at that moment was truly impressive. With excellent support from Julien, she powered her way to victory by half a length as they crossed the finish line.

Flying Drumsticks secured victory in her season debut, clocking 1:15.6 over 2140 metres (autostart), with a remarkable 11.7 for the final 800 metres. A truly sharp finish, crossing the line at full speed in magnificent style.

Menhammar Stuteri, together with Stall Segerhuva, warmly congratulates Flying Drumsticks’ trainer, Conrad Lugauer, driver Julien Fontaine, and her groom, Carolin Jansson, on this outstanding win.
